If you want to get to know the brothers more and want to learn about what it's like to be a Sig Phi, fill out the form below. Beta Delta fully supports Virginia Tech's "365 Rush" policy, meaning that even if you discover us outside of official rush, you can still come and hangout with us throughout the semester.
There are many words that can define brotherhood. Commitment. Accountability. Friendship. Brothers of Sigma Phi Delta exemplify everything there is about brotherhood, with each brother showing dedication and commitment to one another and to the Blacksburg community. Brothers of Sigma Phi Delta share a unique bond in that we are all pursuing a degree in Virginia Tech’s outstanding engineering department. This bond is unrivaled by any other fraternity within the Interfraternity Council on campus and gives us a very unique aspect to our brotherhood.
As most upperclassmen engineering students will tell you, classes becoming incredibly time consuming as you advance in your respective major. Brothers are always willing to help one another out and often work together on projects and assignments. A Sigma Phi Delta brother often will be the leader of the group projects he is a part of. In Sigma Phi Delta, we fully believe that we are all at this university to achieve great success in the classroom as well as advance the engineering profession.
Between the homework assignments, tests, and projects we all have, we still find ways to have a great time throughout the semester. Sigma Phi Delta participates in a whole host of intramurals including flag football, softball, and soccer. We also have a great time giving back to the Greek community by participating in philanthropy events put on by other Greek organizations. As a brotherhood, we love giving back to the Blacksburg community in any way that we can, whether that be Greeks Giving Back, Big Event, running a dunk tank at Relay for Life, or raising funds for our philanthropy, First Robotics. We are also excited to be participating in Shack-a-thon this semester with our sister sorority, Alpha Omega Epsilon. For an entire week, we will be building and living in a shack to raise money for Habitat for Humanity. Furthermore, we have multiple social events with sororities and sports teams and are planning to have even more this semester. Social events are a great time for us all to have a great time and mingle with the amazing Greek Community at Virginia Tech.
There isn’t a better time to join Sigma Phi Delta. Our impact and involvement in the Greek community is growing rapidly. Each semester we are doing more and more events as a fraternity that we have never done before, and we are excited to grow even more in the community, in service, and in brotherhood. Please take a look at our rush schedule and we look forward to seeing you this semester!
